At Shrewsbury Primary Care Network, we’re committed not only to supporting our own workforce but also to helping develop skills and confidence across general practice teams.

We offer a growing range of high-quality, practical training and support sessions. Some of which are also available to staff from PCNs and practices outside of our area.

What We Offer

A range of training packages to choose from:

Basic Life Support (BLS) Training

Essential, hands-on training that meets national resuscitation guidelines. This session ensures staff across clinical and non-clinical roles feel confident in responding to life-threatening emergencies.

  • Who it’s for: All general practice staff
  • Format: In-person practical sessions

CQC Help Service

A tailored, expert-led service to help your GP practice or Primary Care Network stay on top of CQC requirements.

  • Who it’s for: PCN Managers, Clinical Directors, Practice managers, GPs
  • Format: Face to face or virtual support sessions, quarterly data updates, Monthly Newsletter, hot topic resources

Aspiring Managers VTS (Vocational Training Scheme)

An exciting 12-month development programme for staff who are thinking about stepping into leadership or management roles in general practice.

  • Who it’s for: Admin staff ready to grow into management
  • Format: Monthly in person workshops, peer support, and leadership skills
